In the process of maintenance, we often encounter the situation that the inverter of the customer is damaged because it is placed for too long. It sounds incredible, but it is indeed a very frequent situation. If the inverter is damaged and repaired due to improper storage at ordinary times, it will really cost money and affect the normal operation of the company. What problems should we pay attention to when the inverter is stored idle?
The inverter is placed in the packing box during storage, and pay attention to the following matters:
1. It is best to place it in a dry place without sunlight, dust and dust.
2. The ambient temperature of the storage location is preferably in the range of -20 to 40 degrees.
3. The relative humidity of the storage location is preferably in the range of 20% to 90%, and there is no condensation.
4. Avoid long-term storage in environments containing corrosive gases and liquids
5. Storage for a long time (2-3 years) will cause the degradation of the electrolytic capacitor. The applied voltage can play a role in repairing the electrolytic capacitor itself. To a certain degree of degradation, it can be restored to its normal state. For long-term storage, power should be supplied regularly (within 6 months) for at least 5H, and the input voltage should be gradually increased to the rated value with a voltage regulator. If the storage period exceeds 10 years, the rubber used for the sealing of the electrolytic capacitor fails, and a new product must be replaced.
Frequency converter requirements for working environment:
In many cases, the damage of the inverter is actually caused by the unsatisfactory environmental conditions. Generally speaking, the best working environment of the inverter meets the following requirements:
1. The ambient temperature is -10 to 40 degrees. When the temperature is higher than 40 degrees, the heat dissipation condition is deteriorated due to the reduction of the temperature difference. The derating is 2.5% (or 2%) for each increase of 1 degree. The maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 55 degrees.
2. The relative temperature is 20% to 90%, no condensation and no freezing.
3. No dust, corrosive gas and combustible gas, and it will not be exposed to direct sunlight.
4. The altitude is below 1000M, above 1000M, the derating is 1% for every increase of 100M, and the highest does not exceed 4000M. Above 1000M, the allowable value of the ambient temperature for each increase of 1000M should be reduced by 3.3 degrees.
5. Vibration acceleration should be less than 0.6g.
